The Look of Fuller Hair. No Surgery. No Downtime. Just Confidence.
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical, semi-permanent procedure that uses tiny, layered pigment dots to replicate the appearance of hair follicles. This creates the illusion of a fuller head of hair, a freshly shaved scalp, or thicker density in thinning areas — all customized to your look and needs.
SMP is perfect for both men and women experiencing hair loss, thinning hair, alopecia, scarring, or simply wanting to create a sharper hairline or buzzed look. It’s a versatile, safe, and highly effective alternative to hair transplants — and it’s completely non-invasive.
How It Works
Unlike microblading, which uses manual tools, SMP is performed with a specialized electric device to implant pigment into the scalp’s upper dermis using tiny micro-dots. The result mimics real hair follicles with soft, natural-looking depth and dimension.
This technique, called pointillism, blends seamlessly with your natural skin tone and hair color — no lines, no harsh edges.
What SMP Can Do for You
- Recreate a natural hairline for bald or thinning areas
- Camouflage scars from hair transplants, injury, or surgery
- Conceal alopecia patches and boost density in sparse areas
- Fill in widow’s peaks, crowns, or temples
- Enhance results after a hair transplant or work as a standalone solution
- Restore confidence, youthfulness, and a polished look
Who Is a Good Candidate?
SMP is ideal for those with:
- Male pattern baldness
- Thinning hair or visible scalp
- Alopecia or chemotherapy-related hair loss
- Scalp scars or birthmarks
- High contrast between hair and scalp (dark hair/light skin)
- A desire to maintain a buzzed or shaved style with the appearance of full density
What to Expect
Consultation & Preparation:
We begin with a detailed consultation to understand your goals, analyze your scalp, and design a custom treatment plan. If you’re bald, we’ll work with you to draw a realistic hairline that fits your age and bone structure. We’ll also select pigments that match your natural tone.
During the Procedure:
- A topical numbing agent is applied
- Using a specialized SMP machine, pigment is deposited in tiny, controlled dots
- Each session lasts 4–5 hours, depending on the treatment area
- Most clients need 2–4 sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, to build depth and ensure long-term retention
Aftercare & Healing:
- Avoid sweating, hot showers, steam, sun exposure, and swimming for the first 4–5 days after each session
- Full aftercare instructions are provided to maximize healing and pigment retention
- After your final session, SPF is essential to protect your results
- Final results last 4–8 years, with occasional touch-ups as needed
Benefits of SMP
- ✔ Non-invasive – no cuts, no stitches, no scars
- ✔ Immediate results – visible after first session
- ✔ Minimal discomfort and downtime
- ✔ Safe and effective for all skin tones
- ✔ Long-lasting and cost-effective
- ✔ Can be used alongside hair transplants or as a standalone solution
- ✔ Suitable for scar camouflage and post-operative correction
Risks & Considerations
- Avoid SMP during active flare-ups of psoriasis, acne, or scarring alopecia
- Those prone to keloids may not be candidates
- Results may vary with very oily or dry skin, which can affect pigment retention
- Must wait 1 year after a hair transplant before applying SMP to avoid uneven fading
Always choose a trained, experienced, and licensed technician. Poor application can result in color distortion, pigment migration, or unnatural results.
Does SMP Hurt?
Most clients report mild discomfort, often less than a traditional tattoo. We use medical-grade numbing cream and take every measure to ensure your comfort throughout the session.
